The Durban Business Fair has grown in leaps and bounds over the past 14 years and has made a critical contribution to the development of the economy of eThekwini.
We are inspired by the level of growth and influence that has been infused by the Durban Business Fair to the broader business community and the general citizenship of our City and we urge the business sector, especially the Small, Micro-Medium Enterprises (SMMEs) to take advantage of the opportunities that come with platforms such as the Durban Business Fair.
The Municipality has made tremendous investments towards the development and growth of our SMME sector in recent times and we will continue to do so in order to ensure job creation and in order fight the scourge of poverty.
We remain committed to investing more resources in terms infrastructure and telecommunications, which will enable our business sector to be globally competitive. We have tabled a draft budget proposal of R33.7bn for the next financial year.
